Wyoming Girls Cross Country Performer of the Week (Aug. 24-30)

Adalyn Racines, Cheyenne Central High School (Wyoming): A 44.6-second gap separated the top of the Horizon Invitational field, where a 5K in 18:25.72 secured the win among 141 finishers. The time ranks No. 3 of 1,607 athletes in MileSplit's database at Adams County Regional Park XC Course since 2019, and it marks an improvement of 186.9 seconds over the prior mark on this course.

Sofia Rose, Cheyenne Central High School (Wyoming): A 5K clocking of 19:10.35 at the Horizon Invitational placed second among 141 finishers. The performance sits at No. 12 of 1,607 athletes in MileSplit's database at Adams County Regional Park XC Course since 2019, and it comes 82.7 seconds faster than the prior mark on this course.

Carlee Angell, Star Valley High School (Wyoming): Second among 86 finishers at the More Cowbell Invitational, covering the 5K distance in 21:13.50. That effort checks in at No. 21 of 489 athletes in MileSplit's database at Valli-Vue Golf Course since 2019, and it's 43.9 seconds faster than the prior mark on this course.

Maggie Madsen, Cheyenne East High School (Wyoming): Among a field of 204 at the John Martin XC Invitational, a 5K in 17:52.30 was good for fourth. The clocking ranks No. 5 of 724 athletes in MileSplit's database at Fort Collins HS XC Course since 2019, and it comes 195.7 seconds faster than the prior mark on this course.

Lyla Marney, Big Horn High School (Wyoming): Eighth place emerged from a deep 249-runner field at the Billings Invitational XC Meet, with the 5K covered in 18:48.19. The result lands at No. 13 of 1,174 athletes in MileSplit's database at Amend Park since 2019, edging the prior mark on this course by 6.9 seconds.
