WORLAND INVITATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY MEET
WORLAND GOLF COURSE
September 28th, 2023
Location: Green Hills Golf Course (1455 Airport Road)
Schedule:
2:00- Course open for teams to walk
3:00- Middle School Girls Race (Grades 6, 7, 8)
3:30- Middle School Boys Race (Grades 6, 7, 8)
(MS Awards will be given out as athletes finish. T-shirts to the top 5 runners in each race.)
4:00- High School Girls (2 divisions)-Varsity and JV (run together)
4:30- High School Boys (2 divisions)-Varsity and JV (run together)
5:15- WHS Senior Recognition
5:30- HS Awards and team placings announced. T-shirts to the top 10 varsity runners (boys/girls) and top 5 JV runners.
Competitive Timing is contracted to run the race. We will run on schedule, even if there are still some runners completing the previous race.
Packets: We will provide packets upon arrival. Maps and bibs will be provided in these packets; please arrive early enough to walk the course before the start of the first race.
Water: Water coolers will be provided near the finish line.
Locker Rooms: Locker room facilities are not provided. There will be porta-potties near the start/finish line.
Course: The course will be around and through the golf course and will be marked with paint and flags. The high school course is 5 kilometers and the middle school course is 2 miles.
Bathrooms: Portable restrooms will be located in the airport parking lot, west of the race start/finish line. Please keep athletes out of the clubhouse.
Entries:We will be using Wyoming Milesplit as our method of entry to the meet. Please log onto https://wy.milesplit.com and register your athletes there. Last years race has been cloned onto MileSplit. All races are unlimited entries. Please enter your varsity in the varsity division. Entries will close at 8:00 A.M. on 9/28/23. The password to enter the registration is: warrior2020.
Bus Parking: You can drop off your runners in front of the airport terminal near the start/finish lines. Please park buses on the south side of the road from the golf course clubhouse.
