Meet Information
Please note that due to other meet cancallations we are modifying our qualifying standards to accomodate more kids. Please use good judgement on entries as the more kids entered the longer the meet will run. We want this to stay a competative meet, but allow for more opportunity for kids. Your help is appreciated!!!!
2026 Evanston/Davis Middle School Track Meet
Friday May 8th, 2026
Welcome to the Evanston Middle School track meet. Entries for your athletes should be completed on MileSplit by 5:00 pm Thursday May 7th. To keep the meet competitive, please provide seed times/scores for your top athletes so we can put them into the appropriate heats/flights.
As a convenience to the coaches, athletes and parents we have discovered an app that allows for a more organized and streamlined way to view meet information. The app is called SportTrax. We ask that each team create a profile on SportTrax for this meet, and provide me with your login and password you used. That is all. Also email me a spreadsheet of your team roster that I can upload into SportTrax for you. Registration will still be here on Milesplit. I will then download the entries from MileSplit and import them into SportTrax. Your team login and password is required by me so I can ensure all entries are transferred over correctly. As coaches, athletes, or parents, you can all download the SportTrax app onto your phone and while the meet is in progress you will have access to all results in real time. The parents particularly like this feature. They can track their kids' progress and standing instantly. Again at no cost at all to anyone using it. We are trying to give the coaches and fans more conveniences to enjoy the track meet with. If you have any questions or need any help at all please contact me at mfackrell@uinta1.com, or 307-679-0781

5. Throwing implements will be provided for the athletes to use at each ring for those that need it.

7. No team camps allowed on the infield. Team camps will be located on the grass areas surrounding the track facility. All teams are responsible to clean up their area at the completion of the meet. Trash bags will be available.
8. All races will be timed finals, see order of events. We will run the 100 meter on both sides of the track. Our goal is to use the timing system for some of the events and use hand held as well. This is yet to be determined.
9. Throws: Each throwing event will be 3 throws per athlete with no finals. Athletes will throw all 3 throws at once and will score the farthest. The shot put and discus will be put into seeded flights, so get marks in on milesplit. We will limit 10 entries per team per each division, and use minimum marks to be able to finish the throws quicker. Every athlete will get at least one legal mark, regardless if they hit the minimum line or not.
