2025 YELLOWSTONE CONFERENCE TRACK MEET        May 10, 2025             Worland, WY

START TIMES:

Coaches Meeting:  8:00 AM  (Band Room)

Workers Meeting:  8:30 AM  (Concession Stand)

Field Events:  9:00 AM  (All Finals)

Running Events: 10:00 AM  (All Finals)

ENTRIES: All entries must be in MileSplit by May 10th @ 7am, additions will not be allowed after 7am on the day of the meet.  The meet is titled "2025 Yellowstone Conference Track Meet."  The password to register your athletes is "ys2025."  Please make any additions or changes prior to leaving your school.  Scratches must be made ASAP when you arrive in the concession stand.

  • Athletes may enter a maximum of four (4) events.

  • A maximum of four (4) entries per team/per event.  

  • One (1) relay team per event.   

EVENT CLASSES: 6th Girls, 6th Boys, 7th Girls, 7th Boys, 8th Girls and 8th Boys.

AWARDS:  Plaques will be given to the winning team for each event class. Individual ribbons will be given for places 1-5.  Relays will award the 1-4th place teams with ribbons.  Ribbons will be placed in a team folder for pick-up at the conclusion of the last event.  Plaques will be awarded to the teams on the football field ASAP at the end of the last event.

UNIFORMS: Team issued tops and bottoms must be worn while competing in all events.  Visible undergarments must be unadorned and of a single, solid color.  Spikes may be worn but must be no longer than a 3/16 pyramid spike.

LOCKER ROOMS:  Locker rooms will not be available.

RESTROOMS:  Are available next to the concession stand, inside the CTE wing of the high school, and inside the back gym of the high school for the throwers.  

CONCESSIONS:  Our high school track team plans to sell pizza, pop, and water out of the pavilion area.

TEAM CAMPS: Team camps will not be allowed on the infield.  Please locate team camps in the bleachers or in the grass behind the stadium bleachers.  Coaches, please make sure your team camp areas are cleaned up. 

COACHES: Will be asked to help run some field events.  Please see the attached workers schedule and find event materials in the concession stand upon arrival.

HOSPITALITY: Hospitality will be in the band room and is available for workers, coaches and bus drivers ONLY please.  (working on this as well)

BUS PARKING:  Please park in the south parking lot behind our high schools back gym, or in the parking lot north of the track between the middle school and central office.  

Running Events: All races will be timed finals.  The order for all track events will go as follows: 6th Girls, 7th Girls, 8th Girls, 6th Boys, 7th Boys, 8th Boys 

Running Events start at 10:00 AM      

1600 M Run 

100 M Hurdles (All at 30 except 8th boys at 33)

100 M Dash 

(Start remaining running events at 12:30)

400 M Dash

200 M Hurdles

4x100 M Relay

800 M Run

200 M Dash

800 M Medley Relay

4x400 M Relay

Field Events start at 9:00 AM

Athletes in the Horizontal Jumps will be given 4 attempts.  If a pit opens up, we will move the next group over to that open pit- please listen for announcements.  All attempts are finals.

Boys Long Jump (East Pit, Facing the Bus Barn)  7th Boys, followed by 8th, then 6th

Girls Long Jump (East Pit, Facing the MS)  7th Girls, followed by 8th, then 6th

Boys Triple Jump (West Pit, Facing the Bus Barn)  8th Boys, followed by 6th, then 7th

Girls Triple Jump (West Pit, Facing the MS)  8th Girls, followed by 6th, then 7th

9:00 AM Vertical Jumps

Boys High Jump (West Pit)  6th followed by 7th followed by 8th 

Girls High Jump (East Pit)  6th followed by 7th followed by 8th

Starting Heights in the HJ are as follows:

Boys: 6th - 3-6     Boys 7th - 4-3     Boys 8th - 4-6

Girls: 6th - 3-4     Girls 7th - 3-6      Girls 8th - 3-9

Pole Vault   ALL GIRLS at 9:00 A.M.   ALL BOYS following girls

* We will run the event as if it were one boys and one girls competition.

* The pole vault will be a 5 Alive format for each gender in 6-7-8th grade.

* We will separate out results for team scoring by grade level.

* Starting Heights in the PV are as follows: 

Girls 6th - 5-6    Girls 7th - 5-6    Girls 8th - 6-0

Boys 6th - 5-6    Boys 7th - 6-0    Boys 8th - 7-0

9:00 AM Throwing Events

Athletes in the Throwing Events will be given 4 attempts in a 2 + 2 format.  All athletes will be given a mark in the first round with minimum throw lines in effect for their second round.  All attempts are finals.
