2025 SEWAC Conference Track Meet

May 15th, 2025 @ 8:30am

East High School- Okie Blanchard Stadium

Meet Operation: The meet will run following the rules and guidelines set in the SEWAC Conference Handbook

Participation Rules: There will be 4 divisions (7th girls, 8th girls, 7th boys, 8th boys). In each division there will be 8 entries per individual running event. In each division there will be 1 team per relay. In each division there will be 5 entries per field event, with the exception of discus and shot put which will be 8 entries each. Each athlete is limited to 4 events total. 

Scoring: Individual events will be scored as 1st- 6pts, 2nd- 4pts, 3rd- 3pts, 4th- 2pts, 5th- 1pt. Relays will be scored 1st- 5pts, 2nd- 3pts, 3rd- 1pt

Timing: FAT timing system

Awards: Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places for each event in each division. They will be placed in team envelopes and can be picked up at the press box at the end of the meet. Traveling team trophies will be awarded as well, please bring those to the meet. 

Shot put/Discus: Each team will be required to use their own 4K shot, and 1K discus. 

Spikes: Only 1/4" spikes will be allowed on the track or runway surfaces, if an athlete has longer spikes than what is allowed they will be disqualified from the event. 

Coaches Protocol: Coaches will be allowed on the field to coach their athletes provided they do not interfere with the administration of the meet. Please make sure there is an adult in the stands to supervise athletes who are not competing. Parents are not allowed in the press box or on the infield. At the end of the meet please use the provided trash bag to make sure your team area is cleaned up. 

Entries: Entries will need to be submitted to MileSplit by 8:00pm on Wednesday, May 14th. 

Team Camp/Use of Infield: Team camps are not permitted in the infield, please see the team seating map. Only athletes who are warming up/cooling down are allowed on the infield. 

Food/Drinks & Concessions: NO food or drink (other than water) is permitted on the turf infield. Concessions will be available. 

Hospitality: A hospitality room will be located in the garage between the locker rooms on the south side of the track.
