The WTC Field Events Will Include 9th Place and Ties

COACHES: Final Instructions from the WYTFCCCA. 

We do appreciate your work with the youth of the Great State of Wyoming, and we anxiously look forward to THE CLASSIC of 2023.

There are a few items that, we hope, will pull everything together and they are as follows:

1. This is our attempt to recharge THE CLASSIC and we have had a lot of positive feedback.  We do realize that it will not be perfect and most track/field meets have a glitch or two.  Please feel free to provide us with feedback for the 2024 Classic.  We will discuss each suggestion that we feel will help to make this a better event next year.

2. Coaches should enter their athlete's A.S.A.P. In THE CLASSIC on MileSplit, as this will build the field in each event. Athletes must be entered into specific events to be considered for THE CLASSIC. The entries will be visible on MileSplit to confirm your action.

3. Each athlete may only participate in a maximum of two events. Ties for 9th place in the HJ and PV will be honored.

4. If the weather prevents us from having the meet on Friday, April 28th, the event will be canceled. There will be no postponement or make-up date. THE CLASSIC will return in 2024.

5. A limited number of programs will be available until they are gone.

6. Each participant will receive a commemorative Bag Tag.

7. Medals will be provided for the top three places. We would like the event coach of each medal winner to present the medals, if possible.

8. T-shirts will be available for purchase for $20.00 at the stadium … CASH ONLY!

9. The final declaration (entry) time will be 9:00 P.M. on April 25, 2023.

10.The final field for each event will be announced by 9:00 on April 26, 2023.

Only F.A.T. times will be accepted as per WHSAA mandate and only the top 8 will be invited to each event running event, 9 in the field events.
