The field events had many of the top performances at the Wyoming State Indoor T&F Championships held in Laramie on Saturday. The boys' pole vault was a deep competition with five vaulters over 14'6" including a pair from Cody High School both clearing 15 feet in Landon Blanchard and Hayden Bales with Bales as the event champion. The Cody girls vaulters also dominated the event with a 1-2 finish from Betsey Whisonant (11'9") and Anna Bales (11'0") with Whisonant setting a new meet record. Whisonant, third in the high jump, saw teammate Cate Brus clear a new meet record height of 5'6.25" in the high jump. Sheridan High School's Boomer McLaughlin successsfully cleared 6'9" in the high jump to break the state meet record by four inches. McLaughlin  joins only 13 others in the nation who went as high as 6'9" this indoor season. The Campbell County boys (106 pts) and Cheyenne Central girls (115 pts) were the state team champions.
