Meet Information

Kemmerer Junior High School Track Meet 

POSTPONED TO MONDAY 4/20

Schools Attending - KemmererEvanston MS, Davis MS, Big Piney, Cokeville, Green River, Rawlins, Farson, Lyman, Mountain View

Location  

  • Kemmerer Junior Senior High School Track (Next to Canyon Elementary School) 

Times 

  • Field Events will start at 12PM

  • Running Events will start at 1:30PM 

Entries 

  • 6th & 7th Graders will be entered in the 7th Grade division 

  • 8th Graders will be entered in the 8th Grade division 

  • Participants are limited to four events  

  • An athlete may run one leg of any relay 

  • Relays are considered one (1) of an athlete's four(4) events. 

  • Athletes may compete in more than one relay event. 

    • There is a limit of 6 Entries per team for High Jump and Long Jump
    • All entries need to be entered on milesplit.com by Friday April 17th@12pm 
    • There will be NO additions to entries on the day of the meet.  Please report to the announcer booth with scratches as soon as you arrive at the stadium. 

Scoring 

  • We will score the top 6 places in each event: 10-8-6-4-2-1 

  • Schools may have two relay teams in each event but only the top team will be scored. 

Order of Events 

Coaches Meeting -11:30AM at the shed on the south end of the Stadium. 

Field Events - Start at 12pm

***There will be minimum marks for all field events - For throws and horizontal jumps, the athletes' first legal attempt will be measured.  All remaining attempts must meet minimum marks. 

*** Throws will be 3 consecutive attempts, measuring all marks over the minimum. 

*** Jumps will be best of 3 attempts, no finals. 

*** Starting heights for High Jump 

  • 3'6"7th grade girls 

  • 3'8"8th grade girls 

  • 3'8"7th grade boys 

  • 4'0"8th grade boys 

***Both boys and girls' divisions will use the 4k Shot 

*** Please make sure that your athletes report to their field events and check-in when called. Running Events will take priority over field events. We will not wait for athletes for running events. 

 

Running Events - Start at 1:30PM 

*** All events will be timed finals. We will be using our electronic timing system for sprints and handheld times for runs (800, mile)

*** All Events will be 7th Girls, 8th Girls, 7th Boys, 8th Boys. 

*** Both boys and girls will run the 200m hurdles at a height of 30". Five hurdles will be set on the high school 300m hurdles marks. Race will start at the 200 m start. Omit the first hurdle. 

*** Girls will run the 100m hurdles at a height of 30"  

*** Boys will run the 100m hurdles at a height of 33" 

*** We will need coaches from each school to help with hurdle judges and exchange judges. Assignments will be given during the coaches meeting 

 

Order of Events 

  • 1600 METER RUN 

  • 100 METER HURDLES (GIRLS 30 INCHES, BOYS 33 INCHES) 

  • 100 METER DASH 

  • 400 METER DASH 

  • 400 METER RELAY 

  • 200 METER HURDLES 

  • 800 METER RUN 

  • 200 METER DASH 

  • 800 Meter Sprint Medley Relay (100, 100, 200, 400) 

  • 1600 METER RELAY 

Other Information  

  • Team Camps are limited to the grass area in front of Canyon Elementary. Please leave the bleachers open for spectators 

  • The infield is for warming up and coaches only. NO SPECTATORS on the infield 

  • NO SUNFLOWER SEEDS ON THE INFIELD 

  • Concessions will be available 

  • There will be no locker rooms available. Bathrooms are located at the stadium 

  • Bus Parking  

  • After dropping off teams please have your bus park in the upper CES parking lot (North of Rec Center)
