The comeback kid May 22, 2017

Two-time 3A state throwing champion Autumn Knight sat at a table in Buffalo High School’s main hallway, bracketed by her parents. With Athletic Director Pete Hawkins and track coach Ryan Mader looking on, she signed a letter of intent with the U.S. Air Force Academy. Behind her, a plaque listing school track records displayed her name twice to mark records she toppled that had been set in the ‘90s – a large part of what made this day possible. In fact, in 2016 her discus throw was the farthest of any competitor statewide, and she took first at the Meet of Champions. (via Buffalo Bulletin)
