Arvada West Girls Roll Again

For the second week in a row, Arvada West girls won a meet title at a large meet. This week might have been even more impressive a win as, unlike Dave Sanders, this meet was not divided in to multiple divisions. Over 400 girls toed the line to try and take down the girls in purple. The Wildcats darted to the front and took command of the meet in the first mile. The Wildcats had four girls across the finish line before anyone else had two. Civianna Gallegos took 5th, Claire Pauley took 9th, Katie Doucette was 11th, Amber Valdez took 12th. That is only four girls, and you cannot win without a strong number five. Lucy Schroeder declared game, set, and match finishing 30th, beating every other team's fifth place finisher and all but one's fourth place finisher. 67 points, and a promise for a very interesting state meet come October.

Fairview and Laramie fought it out for second place. Fairview held off the challengers from the great plains to the north by two points, 105 points to 107.
