Sheridan High School is proud to host the 2019 Michelle Ludwig Cross Country Meet at the VA

Hospital Grounds in Sheridan, Wyoming. This site has been the course for the last 6 Wyoming

State Cross Country Meets.  We will have JV and Varsity Divisions for each gender and awards will be presented at the end of the meet. ENTRIES: We will be using RaceTab as our meet management. Please use the url

 to enter your athletes. Please fill in your athletes information prior to noon on Thursday, September 19th. Please turn in your entries on time so we have everything ready for a great race. Please follow the directions on the MileSplit website.



DIVISIONS:  There will be 6 divisions in which to compete at the Michelle Ludwig:

High School Coaches ONLY: Please note that you will NOT need to specify which

division (JV or Varsity) you are entering your athlete on the Milesplit site. You can make

that decision on the day of the meet as long as the athlete is entered into the system.



1. Girls Middle School (Unlimited Participation) 3 Kilometers

2. Boys Middle School (Unlimited Participation) 3 Kilometers

3. Varsity Girls (Limit of 10) 5 Kilometers

4. Varsity Boys (Limit of 10) 5 Kilometers

5. JV Girls (Unlimited Participation) 5 Kilometers

6. JV Boys (Unlimited Participation) 5 Kilometers



SCHEDULE: 

10:00 Middle School Girls

10:30 Middle School Boys

11:00 Varsity Girls

11:30 Varsity Boys

12:00 JV Girls

12:30 JV Boys



SCORING AND AWARDS: Varsity Races will be limited to 10 runners and JV will be unlimited.

We will score JV and Varsity Competitions using the top 5 athletes on each team and using

runners 6 and 7 as pushers. Any runners on a JV Team after #7 will be taken out of the team

scoring but they will be eligible for individual awards. Team scores will be totaled and placed but

no team awards will be handed out. Individual awards will be given to the top 10 runners in each

Division.



COURSE: The race course consists of grass and dirt and part of it is shaded. Please be

aware that you may hydrate your runners during the race and SHS will have water available at

the finish of the race. Spikes may be worn on the course. Team Camps may be set up in the

trees near the finish and start lines.

PARKING:

Please have the bus drivers park along the Loop of the VA. Look for the big flagpole and pull past that area to park the buses. Please have the buses park on the right hand side of the street that loops around for about 34 of a mile. We will try to have some signs to point the way on race day.



KONA ICE:

The Kona Ice Truck will be on site for the meet. They will be selling shaved ice and some other treats to the public.



DIRECTIONS TO THE VA HOSPITAL:

The VA is located on Fort Road. Take Exit 20 (The last exit to the North) off of I-90 and travel south for a little over 12 mile on Main Street to Fort Road (Which is also marked as Highway 337 with a yellow sign). Turn right on Fort Road / Hwy 337 and follow the road up the hill for about 34 of a mile and it will run right into the VA Grounds Entrance. Continue for a little over a half mile along the tree lined street until you get to an intersection with a parking lot to the left. Stay on the main road to the left and you will enter the race area near the flagpole. Please park the buses on the right hand side of the street of The Loop. The Loop will circle around and end up at the flagpole.
