Welcome to the 2019 Warrior Invitational hosted by Central High School.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

The rules governing the meet are those of the National Federation of the State High School Association and The Colorado High School Activities Association. There will be prelims and finals in the field events, all races will be seeded and all races are finals. 1/4 spikes only at Stocker Stadium.

STATE QUALIFYING MEET:

This meet is a qualifier for the state track meet and all rules and regulations pertaining to such a meet will be followed (uniforms, jewelry, etc.). All teams will be allowed five (5) entries per event and one relay team per school. Schools will be allowed to enter additional entries for individual events for a charge of $20 per athlete. Only the top 3 finishers from each school will be scored.

COACHES MEETING:

There will be a coaches meeting at 8:30am at the start line. NO ADDS WILL BE ALLOWED. This will be strictly enforced.

SCORING: Eight Places

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

* As part of your entry requirements, you will need to provide two workers to help run the meet. Workers assignments will be posted at the coaches meeting.

* Coaches, your help with the following items will be greatly appreciated:

o Contestants are to enter and exit the track at the SOUTH gate on the EAST straight. Warm-up on the WEST side of the field.

o Only 1/4" spikes will be allowed on the track.

o NON-COMPETITORS will not be allowed on the infield; coaches, fans, and those athletes not warming up must remain in the stands.

o Please make sure that you have emphasized the uniform rules.

o Athletes are to report to the check in area at the first call prior to the event on the infield.

* Tents may only be set up on the top rows of bleachers and along the south side grass, first come first serve.

* A trainer will be available for treatment of injuries.

* There will not be a Pole Vault competition.

* Coaches award packets will be available in the locker room at the conclusion of the meet.

* Starting heights/minimum marks:

o High Jump - 5 boys, 4 girls

o Long Jump - No Minimum

o Triple Jump - No Minimum

o Shot Put - No Minimum

o Discus - No Minimum

* Minimum marks are as above, but may be adjusted by the event judge, and head field judge should weather and level of competition dictate.

* A time schedule is on the following page.

* Shot put and discus will be flighted from entry marks reported with the top eight placing. There will be 3 preliminary throws with the top 9 throwers advancing to the final round, receiving 3 more throws. Long and Triple jumpers will also be flighted with 3 preliminary jumps with the top 9 jumpers advancing to the final round, receiving 3 more jumps. There may be minimum distances to earn a measure depending on number of entrants. If an athlete has not thrown or jumped the minimum distance, their last attempt may be measured. All field events will be three throws and jumps with top 9 going to finals. High Jump will be run as a 5 alive format. There will be NO adds or changes at the events, only scratches. Courtesy marks will not be required, but may be given at the discretion of the event judge.
