What advice you would give to younger athletes?
Work hard in practice and not to worry too much about how you stack up in the beginning just to keep pushing through and it will come together in the end.
What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?
Coach Kirkham one time saw me kind of being a slacker and ask me what I wanted to do in track and I said win and she told me winners have to work harder than everyone else no matter what because at the top is where everyone wants to be. So that really motivated me to work harder.
What are your college plans?
To play baseball at Colorado Mesa
Who would you like to say thank you to?
I would like to say thank you to all the coaches and people in my life that believed in me and pushed me to be better
So here are the questions. You can either answer them in Q&A format or if you want to write out your own responses in a story whichever is easiest. E-mail me the responses along with 3-4 pictures to sshaffer1809@gmail.com If you are a coach please pass this onto your team. If you are an athlete and are a senior feel free to participate or send this to teammates and friends. Let's send our seniors off on a positive note and thank for what they've done over the past four years of their high school careers!
