While the Fort Washakie Eagles are young and inexperienced at the High School level, the few athletes they do have have are dedicated and hardworking. Signa McAdams is a Senior, but has never participated in Track & Field. Jessica Swallow, Daniel Washington and Anna Siers are all underclassmen. Both McAdams and Swallow are 100% for attendance at practice completion. This kind of dedication should yield positive results by the time regionals roll around. Washington has put up times in practice that should qualify him for state in the 800m and the 1600m. Anna Seirs is a very athletic Freshman who started for the Varsity basketball team and averaged in double figures in scoring. Seirs is a WRCAA middle-school champion in the High Jump, Long Jump and Hurdles. She has been over 5' in the high jump on several occasions. The coaches at Fort Washakie are disappointed with the number of track participants this season, but are very pleased with the quality and character of those who have turned out.
