Wyoming Reclassification -What do you think?

Its official - The WHSAA board of directors voted to change the classifications to include
16 teams in 4A - 16 teams in 3A - 16 teams in 2A - and the rest in 1A.

The board also shot down a new proposal to go to 5 classes that would have greatly reduced the now increased (16-16-16) size discrepancy between schools in the classes.

In the 16 16 16 format, The small schools will be over 3 times smaller than the larger schools, and the claims of reduced travel are just not realistic.

The 5 class proposal would have been based on size, not a predetermined number of schools. Additionally the 5 class proposal would have retained traditional rivalries, reduced travel, and the size differential would have been reduced too small schools only having to face teams twice their size.
