CHADRON – Chadron State College will host its annual Chadron State Don Holst Twilight meet Friday in the Nelson Physical Activities Center. Field events start at 1:30 p.m. and running events begin at 3:30 p.m. Teams from Black Hills State University and South Dakota School of Mines will be competing along with scattered entries from Central Wyoming. The event is free to the public.
Chadron State College women's track and field team is the No. 18-ranked team in the nation according to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association first week rankings. The women are the highest ranked Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference team. New Mexico Highlands University is currently the 19
th, while Adams State University is 20
th.
In three meets this season, the Eagles have posted impressive marks. Four male and four female student-athletes are ranked in the top 25 in the nation in their events.
The men are

st) in the 60 meter hurdles,
Skyler Hoopes (23
rd) in the pole vault,
Damarcus Simpson (second) in the long jump and
Kyle McCarthy (23
rd) in the shot put.
For the women,
Shelby Bozner (eighth) in the pentathalon,
Tessa Gorsuch (eighth) in the 60 meter hurdles,
Mel Herl (eighth and 21
st) in the weight throw and shot put and
Stachia Reuwsaat (first and 14
th) in the long jump and 60 meter dash.
